Kick Off Event

Friday, September 16th, 2011
Time: 6:30-8:00pm Location: 2-105
The kick off event starts at 6:30PM and ends at 8PM. Come learn more about VentureShips program and meet the host companies as they try to recruit you to join their team. Food will be served.

Applications Due

11:59PM, Monday, September 19, 2011
Students are to submit applications by e-mail. Information on how to apply can be found in the How to Apply section.

Company Selection of Members

Sunday, September 25, 2011
Applications are forwarded to the appropriate companies. Companies then return their student preferences to VentureShips, which then matches students with companies. While many companies look for specific backgrounds and experiences that will be relevant to the project, they will also look for motivation and intensity. You can expect companies to do an additional phone or in-person interview.

First seminar and networking event for Fall 2011. Come meet and learn from Lou Goldish from MIT Venture Mentoring Service on how to conduct market research

Strategy Meeting with VMS

Thursday, October 6th Time: 12-1PM, Location: TBD
An opportunity to meet with advisors from MIT Venture Mentoring Service to go over the scope of the project and define the milestone for the semester

Final Presentation to VentureShips and VMS mentors

December 8th Time: 6:30-8PM, Location: 4-237
A conclusion to Fall 2011 VentureShips program. Final presentation from each group on what they have done and learned in the past semester
