To Participate in SEED Academy

The 07-08 SEED Academy application process is now closed.
Please check back here in Fall 2008 for next year's application.

We encourage ninth and tenth graders to apply for a position in the dynamic SEED Academy. This year, we will accept approximately 30-35 students into the SEED classes of 2011 and 2010. We anticipate admitting approximately 25 students currently in their freshman year and 5 students who are currently sophomores.

In order to be eligible for SEED Academy, the applicant must be a public school student in either Boston, Cambridge or Lawrence and he or she must be free to participate from 9am to 3pm every Saturday that SEED is in session. Accepted students will demonstrate a strong interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines and will enjoy the process of engineering design. SEED students must be willing to work in teams. Students will have one hour of homework per week for the program, which they are expected to complete. They must maintain a B- average and miss no more than two Saturdays of classes per year. All SEED Academy students are expected to attend two hours of tutoring per week.

SEED Academy is provided free of charge to eligible students. Students are only eligible for admission in their freshman or sophomore year. Admitted students will be eligible to reenroll in the program through their senior year, provided they meet all of the criteria for continued participation and academic excellence.
