Order Keys Here

Whether you need to order keys for a new employee, replace a lost or damaged key, or simply return keys, this is where to get started. The SEMO staff provides keys to the MIT community at no cost, with the exception of certain bulk key orders. To get started, choose from the options below.

Order Keys

  1. Go to "Service Requests" in Atlas.
  2. Click "Create Request", then click "Keys" to access the form.
  3. Select the key service type "Issue", then complete the appropriate fields.
  4. Once you fill out the form and submit your request, your DLC’s key approver (also known as Key Authorizer) will be notified.
  5. Once your request has been approved, you may pick-up your keys at the Customer Service Center in Building 7-019, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Return Keys

  1. Go to "Service Requests" in Atlas.
  2. Click "Create Request", then click "Keys" to access the form.
  3. Select the key service type "Return", then complete the appropriate fields.
  4. Once you fill out the form and click "Submit", your DLC’s key authorizer will be notified.
  5. Finally, return your keys to your key authorizer.
