Find the Right Security Equipment for your Building

SEMO can install and repair the following technology to help protect your building and work space:


  • Electronic door locks through the use of card readers

  • Alarm systems that are monitored by the MIT Police

  • Video camera systems that are supported by SEMO

Request Installation

To place an order for card readers, alarm systems, or video security equipment, please visit SAPweb and click on "Create" under "Physical Security Work Orders" (you will need an MIT certificate to do this). Then, in the "Describe the problem" field, type in the equipment you would like to be installed.

Please note: You are responsible for covering the costs of the installation and SEMO pays for the regular maintenance and basic repairs of the equipment.

Request Repairs

To request repair services from SEMO, please visit SAPweb and click on "Create" under "Physical Security Work Orders" (you will need an MIT certificate to do this).

Please note: Basic services are covered by SEMO while special services may include a fee. Basic services include regular repairs and access changes. Special services include relocating existing security equipment, deactivating and removing security systems, and upgrading current systems.

Free Cost Estimate

Need to know how much an installation will cost? Request a free consultation by visiting SAPweb and clicking on "Create" under "Physical Security Work Orders" (you will need an MIT certificate to do this). Then, on the "Order Physical Security Services" form, check "yes" after "Do you want an estimate for this work" under the Special Instructions box. Once we have visited and evaluated your space we will provide you with a cost estimate to review.
