1961 Technique
An architectural sketch of the planned MIT dormitory at 4 Ames St. The urns on Runkle sixth were incorporated into the original building but later removed. The balcony design changed before construction began: some of the features were incoporated into the East Campus Alumni Houses. The president's house or garden is not in evidence in this sketch. Also note the extra chimneys on the building. The extra chimneys on Runkle were not built.
