Ingrid's Web Page (maybe)

So, I guess this is it. I've succumbed. I've succumed to the glamour and flash of the Web. Oh well.

I guess that since you've found me here, I should tell you a little about myself. I'm from the beautiful town of Boulder, Colorado. I don't really live there. Technically I live in Longmont, but it's terribly boring, so I spend all my time in Boulder.

Boulder is gorgeous. It's right next the the foothills of the Rocky Moutains, and we have some beautiful mountains called the Flatirons at Chatagua park.

(These are the Flatirons.)

This is a street map of the city. This is another map. It's part of The Online Boulder Guide, a page which allows you to find information about restaurants and shops in the Boulder area. My parents own a store on the Pearl Street Mall called Nature's Own Imagination. It's much cooler than the page looks. We sell a lot of environmental stuff, some shirts, a lot of rocks and minerals, jewelry, educational and science games and books, and more. Go visit. Spend money. Put me through college. =)

When I was growing up, I went to school. You can find all kinds of boring facts about my school district on the St. Vrain Valley RE 1J School District page. I went to Niwot Elementary, Longmont Junior High (now Sunset Middle School), and Niwot High School. School sucked. I'm glad I'm gone now.

I did get to do some cool things while I was in school. I played violin in the school orchestra and went to Europe. I played in the Boulder Youth Symphony and had a great time. I volunteered at the Boulder Public Library. I was a member of the Young Adult Advisory Board. We didn't do too much for a while, but then we wrote a play called "Don't Read This!" about banned books. It was kind of controversial, but we gave many performances and they were all very successful. We produced a video of the play, and the script was published by the American Library Association . I wrote an article about it which will be published in the January issue of School Library Journal. Our advisor, Cathy Dunn-MacRae, wrote an aritcle for Voices of Youth Advocates (VOYA), which was excellent.
