If your student account shows a credit balance, you may be entitled to receive a refund to a personal bank account via direct deposit. Before receiving your refund, you must sign up for direct deposit on MITPAY by following the instructions below:
A direct deposit confirmation will be displayed for you to save or print for your record.
If you are expecting a credit balance and want to make sure you receive the funds as soon as possible, check your daily student account activity on WebSIS (do not go into MITPay itself in this case, as this only updates once per month). Once you see the credit balance, call or e-mail your counselor for Customer Service directly and ask that the refund be processed. After deposit is authorized, it can take up to 48 hours to appear in your chosen account. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM, except Wednesdays, when we are open 10AM-5PM.
