Sol J. Greenspan
Brief Biography
Since 2002, I have been serving as Program Director at the National Science Foundation
(NSF)
in the Division of Computing and Communication Foundations
(CCF),
which is in the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering
(CISE).
My main responsibility at NSF is the funding of research and education addressing the foundations of software,
which is one of the research areas grouped together in the
CPA Cluster.
I led the team that initiated the
Science of Design
program, and I handle the software and system design aspects of the
Cyber Trust
program.
My job at NSF has many dimensions, including participation in activities that are interdisciplinary,
interagency, and international.
