The class received only positive comments. Most students found the material interesting, a few pointed out that it was also "fun" and "educational". One student especially liked the demonstrations used in the class. Respondents agreed that the course covered the expected material and that the pace was reasonable. When asked 'How would you improve the class?' one student simply said "I can't". However, other students suggested allowing for more in depth study of a specific airplane or of the aircraft technology, one student suggested more hands-on segments.

Professor Hansman received good evaluations from the students. Students especially liked his clear presentation of the material. Some students also pointed out that his knowledge of aircraft history was excellent. One student praised Professor Hansman's enthusiasm for the subject.

Most students agreed that all one needs in order to take the class is an interest in aircraft or aviation. Although some students noted learning from the library materials, most said they learned the material from the class presentations. The resources used, according to the respondents were mainly the Aero/Astro library, but some students reported using the World Wide Web to find information for their presentations.

I liked it. The only class I didn't mind going to.
