Almost all students described Prof. Markey as friendly and supportive. Many students praised his enthusiasm and his interest in controls. Five students mentioned his effective use of overhead slides and handouts. Some students felt that the lectures were too fast.

Recitation instructor Mike Tryfonidis received many positive comments. Five students wrote that Tryfonidis was sensitive to questions and answered them well. One student called him "one of the best ... TAs that I have had at MIT." Several students felt that the recitations should focus more on problem sets. Two suggested adding another recitation to deal specifically with the problem sets.

Tests and problem sets were considered very relevant by most students. Most students said that the problem sets were very good preparation for the exams. Two students said that the grader gave good feedback on the problem sets. However, eight said there should have been more feedback. There were few comments on the labs. Three students described the lab equipment as unreliable.
