16.512, Rocket Propulsion is a G level graduate class, required as part of the undergraduate curriculum. Nearly all the students thought the class was well taught and organized and that the information was interesting and challenging.

One student described the class by saying it "excites interest in rocket propulsion, never bored with lecturer or material." The mathematical requirements for the class are more substantial than 16.50, thus class attendance is necessary.

Students suggested having a background for the class that includes a strong understanding of math, thermodynamics, and most of all, an interest in rocket science. Students commented that the text offered for the class was not as useful as the lectures and problem sets. Students also found that by far, the most useful way to excel in the class is to do the problem sets. Many students suggested keeping and referring to 16.50 notes and a thermodynamics text book.

The lecturer, Prof. Martinez-Sanchez, received rave reviews for his style and knowledge. However, his board work was described as "sometimes ... very haphazard and ... confusing." The students described Prof. Martinez-Sanchez as very friendly and understanding to the needs of the student. All in all, students found the class challenging, but interesting and exciting.
