Students reacted in a very positive way to Professor Beloboba's class. The students unanimously felt that the class was very interesting. Many students said that the class was an excellent overview of airline economics, and most felt that the workload was reasonable. Students also found the class discussions informative. Although one student thought that the end of the course was rushed, in general, students felt that the pace of the class was just right.

The students cited the problem sets and lectures as being the most important in terms of learning the material. Many students also felt that the text and notes were useful. Students suggested consulting magazines such as Aviation Week, as well as online sources such as Yagoo's Airline Industry News, in addition to the other materials. Several students commented that the problem sets were graded fairly and were about the right length and difficulty. The students also felt that the exams covered relevant material, but were slightly long.

Students overwhelmingly felt that a background in basic economics was helpful. Other examples of background information that students gave include: genuine interest, knowledge of the industry, and mathematics (calculus and langrangian multipliers).

Instead of one term paper, several students proposed having 2 smaller papers, or having a paper that covered a broader range of the topics discussed in the class. The possibility of having special topical seminars was also mentioned. In general, all the students enjoyed the class and felt that it covered the material they had expected it to cover.

"Problem sets were great-educational, and almost fun!?"

"[Professor Belobaba] makes what could be a dry subject quite interesting."
