| About me |
|
Hi! My name is Sharat. I'm a second year PhD candidate at MIT.
My research interests include computer vision and image analysis.
I completed by undegraduate studies at Bangalore University and got my
Master's from University at Buffalo, NY
I'm a bibliophile and love reading, novels and research papers alike.
I also indulge in 5 mile runs, swimming and road trips to keep
myself occupied when I'm not reading. I'm also a self confessed
coffee addict and need my double shot latte to begin my day.

Just in case you were feeling very generous and had this nice warm feeling about me, here's what you need to get to make that feeling go away :)

| Reproducible Research |
|
I strongly subscribe to the view that engineering research has to be reproducible
and code/design has to be disseminated as an integral part of any scholarly publication.
I dislike spending weeks of my time, just trying to reproduce other's work for comparison
or to get a deeper understanding. I think most other researchers feel the same, while very
few actually do something about it. I already have code for most of my work online.
I appreciate researchers who publish theirs
