/ Communication Requirement

Beginning with the class that entered MIT in Fall 2001, all undergraduates must satisfy the communication requirement. Generally, freshmen and sophomores take a communication intensive HASS subject each of those years. Although the lion's share of communication intensive (CI) HASS subjects are HASS-D classes, there are some HASS electives that also carry the CI designation.
