I used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to quantify the relationship between the sound temporal envelope and the time-patterns of activity in the human auditory pathway.

Current Professional Activities

I use magnetic resonance imaging to advance the preclinical drug discovery process. This includes the development, implementation, and validation of imaging biomarkers that can provide evidence of drug safety, efficacy, or mechanism of action. I focus on the development and use of biomarkers that are translatable to the clinical setting. I've worked in several therapeutic areas, primarily neurodegeneration, osteoarthritis, and inflammation.

Personal Statement about SHBT training

My SHBT training was excellent for learning how to frame and tackle a scientific question. My background in MRI provides the technical base from which I am able to contribute to projects in different therapeutic areas.
