My Ph.D. research was focused on electrophysiology and immunohistochemical analysis of supporting cells in the Organ of Corti.
My current role is to lead a group of scientists in developing clinical immunoassays for cytokines, serum biomarkers, clinical immunology, and pharmokinetic assays. My responsibilities allow me to collaborate with academic, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical companies and help them use our immunoassay technology for discovery as well as clinical diagnostics.
My experience in SHBT gave me a strong quantitative approach to biological problems and allowed me to think critically about how to test for new markers. The SHBT experience has allowed me to lead my company in taking a quantitative approach to assay development.
