I have been pursuing my doctorate in History & Anthropology of Science & Technology at MIT since 2005.

I have been a technology evangelist for Zotero with the Center for History & New Media at George Mason University since 2007.

I have been an exchange scholar in Middle Eastern & Asian Languages & Civilizations at Columbia University since 2006.

I have been a member and coordinator of CRIT (Collective Research Initiatives Trust), Mumbai since 2003.

In 2007, I will be teaching assistant for Ethics and Law on the Electronic Frontier at MIT.

Since 2005, I have occassionally convened Urban South Asia, a workshop on the history and anthropology of cities in India and South Asia,
with Michael M.J. Fischer and colleagues from MIT, Wellesley, Harvard, Northeastern and Columbia. 

Since 2004, I have coordinated the Mumbai Free Map, an open access geo-spatial database and web mapping toolkit for communities in Greater Mumbai.
It is developed by CRIT (Collective Research Initiatives Trust) with IndicTrans and the Freemap Collective and is funded from 2007-2009 by APDIP/UNDP. 

Since 2003, I have managed The Memory Bank 3.0, a blog by Keith Hart exploring language, money, and new forms of exchange.
