About

I am a Ph.D. candidate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) working with Prof. J.R. Williams. My research is focused in the optimization Large-Scale Information Systems through application of Statistical Learning. I am also interested in the intersection between data mining algorithms and parallel computing, and have explored the implementation of these algorithms in GPU clusters and multicore platforms.
From May to August 2008, I was a research intern in the Robotics group at Microsoft Research in Redmond, WA, working for Dr. Chrysanthakopoulos.
Prior to coming to MIT, I graduated with a B.Sc and a M.Sc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at University of Navarra (Spain).
From August 2005 to February 2006, I was an exchange student at the Information Technology department at Tampere University of Technology (TUT) in Tampere (Finland).
From June 2004 to September 2004, I was a research intern at the R&D division of IKUSI S.A.
