Research

My main research interests are in machine learning and learning theory. I am particularly interested in mathematical and computational techniques that are useful in analyzing learning problems and corresponding algorithms; these include techniques from probability theory, statistics, combinatorics, computational complexity theory, and algorithms. I am also interested in applications of machine learning to scientific problems, particularly those arising in the life sciences.
