Webster

Currently there is a webster server on yaz and charon. Administrative details include:

A hesiod entry for ``webster.sloc'' which points to one (or more) webster servers.
/mit/dictionary points to /afs/athena/project/webster
It gets restarted at 4:33 every morning, to save on memory consumption.
There is an entry in /etc/ttys to restart it automatically in case it dies or is killed off.
Webster uses UDP-based Sun RPC as a transport. This means that there isn't an /etc/services entry for it, the procedure number is compiled into the program.

(Much of this can be gleaned from project/office-machines or the sources, and you should look in both of those places to be really sure of the details.)
