Wow. It's a circuit. The pseudo-random noise generator (schematic) uses several chips and some other wiring to make, well, random sounds. Add a few flashing LEDs and make it room-sized for a perfect computer from a B sci-fi movie several decades back. It works pretty slick, although a bit staticky, a reasonable introduction to following circuits. A one minute sample can be found here in mp3 or wav format. |
