mini-jector injection molder: safety
If you are not shop trained, or have not completed MAS.863 "How to Make Almost Anything," DO NOT USE THIS
MACHINE!
If you do now know how to use this machine, or are uncertain about using any of its tools or functions, ask
a trained user before continuing.
This machine is dangerous.
Always wear safety goggles, sturdy shoes, gloves, and appropriate clothing.
This machine ejects molten (hot!) plastic. Do not touch the plastic. Wear protective glasses,
and beware of hot metal surfaces.
Never place your hands below the ejector nozzle.
Always purge machine and use fresh plastic. Old plastic absorbs moisture which can superheat and cause
small explosions.
Listen to the machine. If it doesn't sound right, you are doing something wrong or something needs
fixing.
Always clean up after yourself, return the tools, and leave the machine in better condition than when you
found it.
Immediately order and replace any broken tools or parts.
Ensure the emergency stop button is depressed and machine is turned off before leaving.
THESE ARE SHARED FACILITIES. YOU, TOO, CAN BE A RESPONSIBLE SHOP USER.
