See your counselor as necessary for help in beginning/continuing your college research.
FEBRUARY
Register for senior year courses. Be sure to consider graduation and college requirements and career goals.
Register for ACT/SAT I/SAT II as necessary.
MARCH
Register and take ACT/SAT I/SAT II as necessary. Continue researching colleges.
Sign-up for Advanced Placement (AP) tests as necessary.
APRIL
Register and take ACT/SAT I/SAT II as necessary.
Continue researching colleges.

Visit colleges during school vacation.
MAY

Obtain applications for colleges you are considering. Complete and return by specific deadlines.
Be aware of early decision/early action deadlines which are usually November 1 and November 15.
Register for English Language Proficiency Test for students for whom English is not the first language. (Given November and
January ONLY.)
Obtain and complete CSS "Profile Form" if you are applying to competitive colleges which require the Profile Form.

Request transcript and materials be sent to colleges for January 1 deadline prior to December vacation.
Continue to research scholarship opportunities.
JANUARY
Register and take ACT/SAT I/SAT II as necessary.
Continue to research scholarship opportunities.
File VSAC and FAFSA financial aid forms.
Request mid-year reports and seventh-semester transcripts to be sent to your colleges.
FEBRUARY
Continue to research scholarships.
MARCH
Review federal Students Aid Report form (SAR).
APRIL
Visit colleges at which you have been accepted. Review college responses and financial aid offers carefully.
MAY
Reply to college of your choice by May 1 deadline. Inform colleges you do not plan to attend. Take AP tests.
JUNE
Request final transcript be sent to the college you plan to attend. Be aware that colleges reserve the right to deny admission based on the final transcript.
