Boston VA Medical Center - Analog VLSI Circuit Designer, Electrical System Designer, Electronics Project Manager
Massachusettts Intitute of Technology - Visiting Scientist

I am developing and testing a prototype retinal prosthesis for the blind with the Boston Retinal Implant Project, a joint effort of the VA, MIT, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. I lead a design and test group of 2 other engineers and 1 technician, and I spearhead the design of all electrical systems in the implant. I am designing the custom analog and mixed signal IC for the next generation implant while coordinating the assembly of the present generation by outside vendors. I designed and built inductively coupled telemetry circuits, power management circuits, various test circuits, mechanical clamps and fixtures, and developed a full test setup.
