Translating Research From the Lab to the Market

Panel Discussion, November 2012


At the 2012 Open Innovations Forum in Moscow, Skoltech and the MIT Skoltech Initiative led a discussion on the role of university research in the market. How are early-stage technologies, derived from government and university investments in research, translated into practice? What is the relationship between academic researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors?

Presentations showcased the different approaches international universities have taken to proof-of-concept centers. Speakers included:
