MITEI UROP Opportunity for Summer 2013


Professors Amy Glasmeier (DUSP) and Don Lessard (Sloan) announce a UROP position to assist with the development of a course on comparative energy policy. The course is intended for graduate students at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.

This UROP position is a great opportunity for an undergraduate student to learn about energy issues around the world via a multidisciplinary approach. The UROP student will be responsible for creating maps and other graphics and presentation materials that will animate the course content and spatialize key concepts. In addition, on occasion the student may be asked to help with some research responsibilities and organizing tasks.

Key qualifications include:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Experience with visual communication and/or graphic design and geographic animation
  • An interest in energy policy and politics, visual communication and/or course development
