My oldest story is called "Stalker." It is a terrorizing tale about a radio disc jockey who is hounded by a supernatural being on a foggy Phoenix night. Here is an excerpt:

He followed her down the street. Past the two drunks who gave him a good opportunity to let his presence be known. When she went into the store he lost hope for a minute. He waited, just far enough away to be hidden by the fog.

She reappeared after fifteen minutes, and continued up the street. Intending to bring this hunt to full potential he moved in a little closer, letting her feel his presence a bit more. She would be able to see a shadowy form behind her, if she looked carefully. He could feel her tension increase: her breathing quickened, as did the speed of her walk
.

This next one is from a story called "The Rites of Summer" it is a comming of age story about a young girl in a town with a dark secret. Here is the excerpt:

Alissa stood up. She was slightly over five feet tall. She was wearing a white cotton dress which came down to her mid-thigh. It contrasted nicely with her tan skin and waist length ebony hair. Her blue eyes sat primly above her high cheekbones, setting off her Roman nose and thin lips. She was considered one of the prettiest girls in Todasco. The man who claimed her this evening would be the envy of all but a very few.

She strolled into the house, relishing the soft strokes the grass made on the bottom of her bare feet. Once inside she slipped out of her dress, and sat down on the woven mat which was her bed. Her mother had prepared the traditional make-up for the ceremony. It would take the rest of the day to apply it.

The make-up began with a white base, which was applied to Alissa’s entire body. "This was the color of our ancestor’s skin," her mother said, "Before they discovered the gentle rays of Sol."

My final (completed) story is called "Wolf." It is about a tabloid reporter uncovers a darker side to a UFO abduction in New Mexico. Here is an excerpt:

My first assignment sent me to New Mexico to see Mrs. Kathy-Lynn Foster, genuine UFO abductee. UFOs were about as real in my mind as a flying pig, but people claim to have seen those, too. I flew into the Albuquerque airport, picked up my rental car, and drove into the suburbs to 6665 Pleasantville Lane. I'll never forget that address.

When I arrived at 6665 Pleasantville Lane, I noticed that it was a single story brick home with a small yard and a white picket fence. Pretty much what everyone thinks of as the average middle class American home. You would be amazed at how many of these I had seen in the past year of Elvis investigating. I got out of my rented Ford and strolled up the stone walk.

I was met at the door by a redhead in her mid-twenties. She was slender, about 5'4" tall, and curved in all the right places. Her hair was in disarray, and she was wearing a rumpled nightgown. She would have been quite nice looking if she had gotten a full night's sleep. "Mrs. Foster? I'm Stanley Malon, from WNP." My editor had made me change my last name, telling me that the American public wasn't going to trust no goddamn Irishman, and the paper's credibility was hard enough to keep out of the toilet.
