Patrick is a visiting student from Germany working on a six-month research project at the Sloan Automotive Laboratory. In 2012 he graduated from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, with a B. S. in automotive engineering. During his undergraduate studies he focused on automotive mechatronics where his master studies revolve around internal combustion engines. For his current project at MIT, Patrick is working under the supervision of Dr. Wong on models that describe heat transfer and lubricant properties in order reduce mechanical friction between the piston and cylinder liner.
