Raymond comes to the Sloan Automotive Lab from Vietnam where he began his working career in 1965 building boats for the fishing industry. He became well acquainted with hand and power tools and supervised boat construction crews in the building of fleet fishing boats. From there he worked as a Furniture Builder/Carpenter designing and building residential and commercial furniture. When Raymond relocated to the United States in 1981 he worked with Crenlo, Inc., fabricating vehicle parts for the commercial trucking industry. Raymond arrived at MIT in January 2003 as a Laboratory Assistant in the Sloan Automotive Laboratory. He has been instrumental in organizing and maintaining the laboratory and we truly welcome his contributions to our department.
