We have a vibrant group of LGBT students - here are a few of them that help run Sloan Pride.

Blanca Aguado

Blanca is a first year student at MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to Sloan, she worked in the aerospace/aviation sector bridging the gap between industry and government with the goal of successfully implementing new disruptive technologies. A native of Madrid, Spain and a graduate of McGill University, you are most likely going to find Blanca with a backpack discovering new places, drinking coffee (cortados!) and extensively explaining the benefits of siestas.

Hilary Fossum Gram

Hilary is an MBA candidate in the Class of 2018 at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Most recently Hilary interned for Parthenon-EY as a Summer Consultant, and she will be working in their Boston office after graduation. Prior to MIT, Hilary worked for Rare, a Washington, DC based NGO, where she focused on employing sustainable markets and innovative financial mechanisms to improve environmental and economic outcomes for small-scale fishers and farmers in the developing world. A graduate of Wellesley College, where she was a member of the varsity swim team, Hilary spends her free time running and taking her adopted pit bull on long walks along with her partner, Kirsten.

Andrew Foster

Andrew is a first year student at Sloan and is also pursuing a MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering through MIT’s Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program. Before coming to MIT, Andrew worked as an operations manager at a B2B e-commerce company and also completed GE’s two-year Financial Management Program. Born and raised in New England, Andrew enjoys hiking and you can often find him sailing on the Charles after class.

Peter Grace

Peter Grace graduated from Stanford University in 2009 as a Stanford Pride Fellow, beginning his career by working with organizations to support the LGBT community. After working with a social justice foundation to help secure marriage equality, Peter transitioned to the corporate sector to help brands deepen and demonstrate their commitment to social impact through public relations and communications. Peter is now an MBA candidate in the class of 2019 at MIT Sloan focusing on sustainable supply chain management. Peter is happiest when riding his bike or cooking in the kitchen.

  • “The students in my program are a tight-knit group, and I met some of my closest friends here during an LGBT trip to Provincetown. The “You Are Welcome Here” postcards that you see everywhere on campus really sum up the supportive culture. I think it differentiates MIT Sloan from other schools.”

    Timothy Winters, MSMS ’13

  • "I’m proud to be at an institution that embraces diversity as much as it embraces technology and innovation."
