China@MITSloan Conference 2002, with leading business executives and management thought leaders from both Greater China and the U.S., will be the culmination of a week’s China related activities at MIT Sloan. It is one of the inaugural Sloan Asian Business Conference Series. The event aims to strengthen MIT Sloan’s impact on developing Greater China’s future business leaders. It also offers an alternative platform for major businesses in Greater China to build long-term relationships with MIT Sloan faculty, students and alumni.
China’s economy has been growing rapidly in the past decade and has become one of the most important markets in the world. With China’s entry of WTO, many multinational companies, including those from Taiwan and Hong Kong, have targeted China as their
strategic focuses in the near future. Also, well-established major Chinese companies are anxious to expand into international markets to build premium global brands, as well as acquire advanced management skills.
