About Cambridge Associates

Cambridge Associates was established in the early 1970s when its founders were asked to conduct a comprehensive study of endowment management practices for Harvard University. The resulting firm was essentially an external research arm for nonprofit institutions. Its research became a cost-effective means for members to keep abreast of the rapid changes in investment management and nonprofit financial management. Although its initial mandate from participating institutions was to provide them with timely, original investment research, its focus quickly expanded to include a broad range of consulting assignments on both investment and financial issues. Today it works with colleges and universities representing almost three-quarters of U.S. higher education endowment assets as well as with other endowed institutions, international institutions, families, and corporations. It is an independent firm that has placed a special emphasis on avoiding conflicts of interest. Its expertise and coverage of investment and financial management has steadily grown since the firm's inception. For more information, please check its website http://www.cambridgeassociates.com.
