Like to sing (even in the shower)? Have the urge to be in the spotlight? No? Well, read on anyway! We're looking for another batch of Sloanies and Significant Others to join us for the 2006-2007 academic year. Why should you join Sloan's best and only a-cappella singing group? We've taken an ultra-scientific poll, and the following are the top-ten reasons: 1. You like to sing. That's right. Maybe you've spent years taking voice lessons, waiting for your moment. Or maybe you had a flash of realization at the Karaoke bar last term. Either way, you have a song to sing. 2. You want to express your "creative side." Now that the Sloan Fingerpainting Club is no longer (or was it ever), joining the E-52s is the certified best way to satisfy your inner muse. 3. You're sick of studying. The good news: there's more to Sloan than accounting problem sets. After three consecutive days staring at your deferred tax notes, take a break with the E-52s. 4. You like to laugh. So do we. In fact, some of our rehearsals (and performers) are very comical. Which ones? You'll have to show up to find out! 5. You want to try something new. Never having sung before is no excuse! We promise a friendly, no-risk atmosphere (just pretend like we are not in the room). 6. You want to find out what kind of derelicts your husband/wife/partner is hanging around with all day. As one of the only students-and-spouses organizations at Sloan, we're a great way for spouses to get to know some Sloanies in a low-key, fun way. Really. 7. You like to spit. For those ultra-unique individuals, we're looking for a vocal percussionist. No experience needed, but it you like to spit that's a good start. 8. You hate being in front of big groups of people. Sure your communications class will help rid you of this fear, but we promise we will help too! Once you've sung in front of a crowd of 300 rowdy Sloanies, you'll never fear PowerPoint again. 9. You're insanely attracted to someone in the picture above. Yes, those folks are all E-52s. Some have graduated (3 are married but who's counting), but we can give you their email (hotmail) addresses. 10. Why not?
