Compete with MBA students from around the world to see who can run the most profitable factory. No travel required!
The competition is hosted by Responsive Learning Technologies and uses their Littlefield Technologies factory simulator. The team with the most cash at the end of the game is declared the winner and receives our US$3,500 grand prize. The second place team will receive $1,000 and the third place team will receive $500.
Last year, 85 teams from top business schools from all over the world participated in Opsimcom. Opsimcom will use a simulation specially designed for the competition, so if you have played this game in class, this will not be a repeat of what youve seen before.

Opens April 7, 2009 at 9am EST, closes April 25, 2009 at 5pm EST.

Entry fee: $40 per team
When registering, please include your school in your team name, for example: mit_opstars. The name must be all lowercase letters and without punctuation. You will also be asked to choose a password and to submit the names of each of the team members. WE WILL HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR PASSWORD. DO NOT USE A PASSWORD THAT YOU WOULDNT WANT ANYONE TO SEE. After you submit this information from the web page, your team will be registered. Note: You DO NOT need to register again on the Littlefield website, and you do not need to email us your team information.
To change the team members after you have registered online, email opsimcom2009@mit.edu. The last day to change the team composition is Saturday, April 25, 2009.
Rules
All participants must be MBA students.
Prizes:
First: US$3,500
Second: US$1,000
Third: US$500
The competition is entirely online. No travel is required.
No limit on the number of MBA students per team.
No limits on the number of teams per school.
No help from Professors or others outside of the team.
Each person can only be on one team.
Two teams are not allowed to interact/help each other.
Game Specifics
The game will begin at 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time, on Thursday, April 30, 2009.
The game will end at 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time, on Sunday, May 3, 2009.
Note that certain time zones will have entered into Daylight Savings Time as of March 8, 2009. Participants are responsible for knowing what this corresponds to in their local time. For current eastern time:

Numbers are displayed using American formatting. A period is used to mark the decimal place. Commas mark the thousands. So, six thousand, two dollars and thirty cents is displayed as: $6,002.30. Please adjust accordingly.
