2009-2010 Club Presidents
Alex Hsi
Alex is a second year MBA student at MIT Sloan. Previously, he worked in the
Office of the CIO at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he performed due
diligence on Enterprise technology investments and worked closely with the
firm’s internal Real Estate team to determine best practices in developing
the firm’s LEED Gold global headquarters and next-generation green datacenters.
Alex was a member of the first MIT team to compete in the National Real
Estate Competition. Alex holds a B.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering
and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Andrew Gallinaro
Andrew is an MSRED student at the MIT Center for Real Estate. Previously, Andrew worked in the Boston office of BlackRock Investment Management as an Associate in its Real Estate Group. While at BlackRock, he was responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, structuring and closing of single asset, portfolio and entity level joint venture and wholly owned opportunities. These transactions represented private equity financings on behalf of discretionary co-mingled real estate funds and institutional separate account clients. He also had asset management, workout and restructuring responsibilities. His experience included all primary real estate product groups and life cycles ranging from Development to Core. Andrew is a member of ULI Young Leaders. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from Babson College.
John Peek
John is a second year MBA student at MIT Sloan. Before coming to Sloan, John worked in
Architectural practice for four years in Houston and New York. Serving developers, administrators,
corporate directors and private clients, John worked to design projects
including public parks, research facilities, schools and hotels. While studying at Sloan, John is also completing
the required exams to become a licensed Architect. Prior to work experience, John received his
Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University.
Pulkit Sharma
Pulkit is an MSRED student at the MIT Center for Real Estate. Before coming to MIT, Pulkit worked in Dubai in Project Management for Laing O'Rourke, a UK based general contractor. He worked in areas such as Contracting, Quantity Surveying, Environment & Sustainability, Construction Process Automation/IT and Package Management across Healthcare, Leisure, Mixed use and Residential projects. Previously, Pulkit attended a summer business program at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business. He received his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering. Pulkit is a LEED Accredited professional.
Rimi Chakraborty
Rimi is a second year MBA student at MIT Sloan. Prior to Sloan, Rimi worked for five years
in the environmental insurance industry, working with real estate developers,
environmental consultants, attorneys, and brokers. Rimi worked most recently for AIG as
Assistant Regional Manager for the Boston Region, and facilitated
contaminated property redevelopment by crafting risk transfer solutions for
clients. Rimi received her Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering
from the University of Pennsylvania and is focusing on courses in affordable
housing and green building design at Sloan.
