Emergencies

It is important to make sure the people from your groups communicate with the MIT staff on duty during your event. It is a good idea for the event planners to meet with the CAC manager on duty as well as the police officer and/or AV technician (if applicable). That way if something needs special attention, the MIT staff will know whom to contact. Members of your group should remain at the event the entire time.

Serious emergencies should be reported immediately to Campus Police at 253-1212. After hours, the CAC manager on duty can be reached through Facilities pager service at 253-1500. The Dean on Call (SLP staffer) can also be reached via Campus Police at 253-1212.

If you have collected cash, there are two options. One, use the night deposit bag (see the Finance Office in W20-549 before your event) or two, ask Campus Police to escort you back to their office to store the cash in the safe until the next business day.
