Student Leadership Series
Leadership skills are often developed
through academic work, involvement in sports, in a fraternity
or sorority, work on institute committees and of course through
a student’s involvement with a student group. The series,
which began in the fall of 2003 in response to Chancellor Clay’s
call for leadership programming, has helped dozens of students
develop their own personal leadership styles while exploring
aspects of leadership theory and practice.
Workshops Topics Include:
- Developing Vision Statements
- Motivating Others
- Public Speaking
- Cross Cultural Issues within working groups
- Leadership Style Self-Reflection
- Running Effective Meetings
- Delegating Effectively
