Other Ways to Get Involved
If you are interested in participating on other boards and
committees, below are a few options
LBGT Issues Group Planning Meetings
http://web.mit.edu/lbgt/
The LBGT Issues Group is a committee of faculty, staff, students,
and alumni who are LBGT or just plain friendly that seeks to
foster a safe and welcoming environment and to ensure MIT's
educational mission is upheld for all students regardless of
their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Latino Cultural Center
http://web.mit.edu/latinocenter/www/
The Latino Cultural Center (LCC) functions as the hub for many
of the Latino student organizations, as well as individual community
members interested in learning more about Latino culture. The
Center holds regular office hours, discussions, study breaks,
small performances, round-table discussion, and dinners. The
LCC is also actively involved in Mes Latino during the month
of March. The location for many student group meetings, the
LCC is composed of two main parts, the business offices of the
organizations, and the adjacent lounge for social activities.
The lounge is also available for quiet study and socializing
during the day. If you are interested in helping to plan events
with the LCC, stop by and visit in W20-028.
Student Government Activities Committees
There are also committees run by the UA, IFC, Panhel and the
