Affordable, clean water in developing countries
While mulling over ideas with two friends in a bar in Cambridge, Sarah Bird had the idea for SaafWater - a social enterprise to get affordable clean water to the urban poor in developing countries. One year later, SaafWater has been a runner-up in the MIT $100k, raised $50,000 in seed capital, hired its first employee, and is on the verge of making its first sales in Karachi, Pakistan.
