New year, new season... For those who still check out the site, the club is in a bit of a mess but screw it, it'll be fine when the snow starts to fall again. If you're interested in a Threedom anytime pass to Loon, Waterville, and Cranmore, contact me for one of the forms. It would be super cool if you went through the club, since if we sell enough, we get some sort of kickback. It'll likely go to gas or beverage money or anything else that would encourage people to snowboard.

Although there is an ASC pass to Killington and some other places, I would highly recommended the Threedom pass -- I've had both, and the close proximity and fairly high quality of the Threedom pass resorts led me to use it much more...something like 25-30 times last year.

Ryan made a pretty awesome video of some of the snowboard team members' '03 season. It also features guest performances by Leighton's little niece and a weiner dog. Check it out here (2:15, 30 megs).

We're at it again. There are club sports and ASA midways coming up in this next week. If anyone wants to help me out, that would be tight. Also, look for a meeting in the next couple weeks just to make sure we have our act together.

We will watch a video and talk about weekend trips, competition, and a possible upcoming bus trip.

Yesterday, we built a little kicker and a wooden table funbox on the Storrow Drive hill. Ryan insisted that I not reveal the results of the "S-K-A-T-E" competition, but I will talk about the contest because it was just too rad: Tricks included regular and switch backside and frontside 180's and 360's with a whole cadre of grabs, switch boardslides, indy-Patriot salute combos, and a kung fu style boardchop to the not-so-fun-anymorebox.

For most of IAP, people will be heading up to Loon for at least the weekend and likely during the week as well. If you'd like a ride or want some company, email ryan. For some pics/vids of our last weekend up there (Jan 11, 12) check out aaron's page.

Thanks to Ryan, there's a new message board up for organizing day trips, rides, etc. Let me know if there's anything wrong with it. Also, this weekend, the snow sports expo is going on, 14th-17th.

Meeting 8 o clock in bexley on tuesday, 11/5. on the agenda: trip planning, more budget planning, free tuneups, raffle of snowboard video, and anything else that interests you. Just come in through the right rear entrance in the courtyard of bexley. The meeting is on the second floor. If you are considerably late, we may already be in the basement tuning boards.

Loveland Ski Area is open in Colorado. Killington will be open in a couple of weeks. It seems like a good time to have a meeting.

When: Monday, Oct 21st at 8 pm
Where: Bexley (2nd floor, rear right entrance)
What: We'll be watching Happy Hour, a new snowboard film, and maybe Nixon Jibfest if Tim can get it on VHS after making the lamebrain decision to get the DVD. On the agenda: budget, season passes, upcoming events, and giving away the Volcom team video, Luminous Llama.

The next meeting will be at 7 pm Monday, Sept 30th in the Bexley lounge. The only event before then will be the Pro quarterpipe contest at the Bayside expo center (accesible by the T) Sept 27th and 28th. This costs $10 to watch. Let Ryan know if you want to go.
