Minutes from Snowboard Team/Club meeting on 11/5 held in Bexley Lounge
IAP: We are planning to have a long snowboarding trip during IAP... as in
have a cabin near some mountain... probably loon (now that I look at my
notes... it is definitely loon), and go snowboarding...
and have other amusements... every day during IAP. There will probably be
two groups of people... the die hard devoted snowboarders who are there
during all of IAP, and the weekend crowd who just want to have a bit of
fun. (both factions are important, as we understand that everyone does
not have time to spend their entire lives snowboarding...) Our trip
will probably be starting around January 2 or 3rd, as that is
when the first group is planning to go up. If you are interested in
having any part of this big snowboard party... (weekend, weekly, driver,
beer bitch, etc), feel free to email ryan at ryan03. This is especially
important if you have a car, as before we can do anything, we need to set
up transportation. And yes, even if you think we are inorganized, still
e-mail ryan if you are the least bit interested, as having lots of
interest to do such a thing will motivate us to get off our drunken asses
and organize this trip. Without our club, the officers have
nothing, so please, we beg you... please... tell us if you are interested.
Since we haven't designated spaces, we can't tell you spaces are filling
up, but if that is what it would take to get you guys to respond, well,
"spaces are filling up!!!! RSVP today!!!!"
If you want to go on this trip (either group), it would probably be wise
to get a season pass... we mentioned these kick ass passes in the
last minutes, so revert to those for the details (one thing I will
reiterate is that they are $249 for the entire season...), but one
thing to add is that you can buy these passes until November 30th... if
you haven't bought one, do, as we will be getting money for this, cutting
costs for the team. Furthermore, please promote these in any way you
can... and yes... we do mean any way you can.. (nudity,selling your
body/soul, and any other epicurian acts are not out of the question.)
However, the snowboard club takes no liability over such actions, so
please do not sue us if anything does happen to go wrong...
in addition to our large trip during IAP, be on the lookout for formal
trips to come..... i.e. loon (which is opening on Thursday)...
There will be a big bus trip in february, come to meetings
if you want to hear more about it.
Come to meetings... last meeting we gave away the Trans World snowboard
video, This Years Model, to Kailas. If you come, next time it could be
you... also, if you need your board waxed and your edges
sharpened... (i.e. a minor tune), come to a meeting and bring your
board... (it is free!!!)
