Project 6: introduction to Interactive C
Suggested Reading: The IC manual. The IC
help page.
Play around with IC, motors, sensors, and the boards for a
while. Some suggested projects:
Program 1: write a program to:
- Print a message on the LCD screen.
- Turn on a motor, full speed.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Print the value of an analog sensor.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Turn the motor off.
- Wait until a digital sensor is pressed,
then print a goodbye message on the LCD screen.
Program 2: write a program to:
- Print a message on the LCD screen when it first starts up
- Continuosly set the speed of a motor according to an analog twist sensor (all
the way in one direction = off, all the way in the other direction =
100 % motor power).
- Also continuously print the % power on the screen.
- If a specific digital switch is hit, the program should
- Turn off the motor
- Print some different message (stop printing the analog sensor)
- Wait 2 seconds
- Return to the motor controlling/printing the sensor value behavior
