ABOUT LOCATION :

    ANTALYA, on the Turkish Riviera, has been settled since at least the second century BC.  Today, it is the chief city on Turkey's central Mediterranian coast.  It is served by the third largest international airport in Turkey.  It can be reached directly from most major airports in Europe, and also via international airport in Istanbul.

    The Mediterranian coast extending southeast from Antalya combines the early settlements of ancient cultures from Hitites to the Seljuks and the Ottomans.  Side is a popular resort about 75 km east of Antalya.  It has fine sandy, impressive Hellenistic ruins within easy walking distance, an excellent little museum, and a small village.  Meeting will be held at a sea side resort, MAJESTIC PALM BEACH HOLIDAY VILLAGE, which is about 10 km south of Side, and suitable for family vacations.

    Side (Antalya) enjoys a mild Mediterranian climate.   Temperatures in September hover near 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
