ProgramsThe Office of the Arts provides a number of different programs and organizations for students to get involved in. Through these groups, students can experience the arts and interact with other student artists outside of their academics and classes.Arts Scholars The Arts Scholars are a group of MIT upperclassmen and graduate students who are active in and committed to the arts at MIT. Students explore the arts through monthly events, workshops, and art shares on and off campus. Scholars also get the chance to interact with fellow students and distinguished artists through monthly dinners. Grad Arts Forum The Grad Arts Forum encourages interdisciplinary communication among MIT graduate students who are interested and active in the arts. Through a year-long series of evening forums, graduate students making art can discuss overlapping themes in their work. The forums provide a place for constructive interdisciplinary conversation around the arts. Art Representatives (Art Reps) The Art Reps are a network of arts ambassadors in MIT dormitories, fraternities, sororities, independent living groups, and graduate departments. Art Reps receive promotional art material to build interest and send out information to the rest of the student body about upcoming arts events at MIT. |
