MIT TechFair Monday, February 5, 2007, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm, Rockwell Cage (website) Interested in space? Biotechnology? How about sound? The MIT Tech Fair aims to provide an interesting and informative display of breakthrough research and development in a variety of fields. The fair will be conducted "trade show" style, giving the audience a chance to learn about cutting-edge science and technology while networking with companies about future career prospects in specific fields. Taiwanese Career Fair Monday, February 5, 2007, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Stata Center, First Floor (TSMC Lobby) (website) MIT ROCSA is holding a Taiwanese Career Fair this Monday, February 5th, the first of its kind at MIT. This career fair offers MIT students an opportunity to look for overseas internships and explore career options in Asia. All nationalities are welcome. Tau Beta Pi Career Fair Tuesday, February 6, 2007, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Rockwell Cage (website) The Tau Beta Pi career fair is a chance for employers to meet undergraduate and graduate MIT students. The fair is for all majors, to enable MIT students to find great careers and great internships. Impact Career Expo Tuesday, February 13, 2007, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, MIT Stratton Student Center, 3rd Floor (website) The Impact Career Expo is a venue for socially and environmentally conscious businesses and organizations to meet MIT and Olin College students who share their goals. For students who want to leverage their education in science, engineering, and the humanities to make a positive impact on society, the expo is designed to show them that it's a feasible goal. The expo will also include panels and other activities that allow students and companies to connect over a mutual sense of social responsibility. We hope that everyone will leave the event with renewed motivation to change the status quo. 18th Annual Diversity Career Fair Wednesday, February 21, 2007, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, DuPont Athletic Center (website) The Diversity Career Fair provides a link between MIT students and top industry representatives. This relationship allows businesses to enhance and strengthen ties to underrepresented minority students as well as the general MIT student body. Explore great career opportunities, and learn about diversity initiatives, internships and employment possibilities. Over 50 companies will be on campus; come meet employers face-to face. Everyone is welcome. Freshman-Sophomore Career Week February 20-24, 2007 Freshmen and sophomore students are encouraged to attend these workshops to get a head start on planning their summer activities and to learn about the many opportunities to explore before graduating from MIT. Topics include: resume writing, internship searching, finding research opportunities, applying to grad school, fellowships and entrepreneurship. Drinks and light snacks will be provided. MIT Careers Office The MIT Careers Office is here to advise and assist students at all degree levels about career choices and decision-making, and help them to identify job opportunities, academic programs and internships that will enhance their qualifications. Services include counseling, workshops, employer recruiting, job development, preprofessional advising, alumni relations, internships and other opportunities for self-assessment and career research. Career services from the Alumni Association The MIT Alumni Association offers MIT students and alumni access to job listings, networking opportunities, and career services.
