 spotlight: MIT observes Constitution Day
 

Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the United States constitution, and is observed by all educational institutions that receive federal funds.


 
  Home - MIT 219 years ago late on the afternoon of Sept. 17, 1787, delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia put their signatures to the U.S. Constitution.

Last year, Daniel Weitzner of the World Wide Web Consortium gave a lecture at MIT called "The Internet Meets the Constitution" as part of Ethics and the Law on the Electronic Frontier.
