MIT Solar Decathlon
MIT was chosen to participate in the 2007 Solar Decathlon, an international competition designed to foster and promote solar technologies and energy-efficient building design. The team will design, test, and build a house powered solely by the sun that will operate for two weeks on the National Mall in Washington, DC in September 2007.

This interdisciplinary contest engages disciplines from across the Institute, including Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Public Policy, Management, and others. The project is in the early design phase now, and will soon need the expertise of all members of the MIT community. Tasks will range from CAD drafting to fundraising to energy simulation to driving nails. All are welcome!

For more information or to get involved, visit MIT's Solar Decathlon website.
