March 3 and 4, 8 pm Kresge Little Theater reserve tickets
At 8:00 p.m. on March 3 and 4, 2005, MIT's Kinaesthetics Lab will present our third annual spring performance in MIT's Kresge Little Theater. Every piece in the show is an original work, created by a member of MIT Kinaesthetics Lab. Our program includes a couple of pieces of structured improvisation, plus a number of choreographed works. We've got dance theater that will make you laugh, and live percussion, piano, saxophone, and vocals. A solo clown piece tells of the trials and tribulations of planning a wedding; a number of modern dance works explore weight sharing and challenge the parameters of shape, space, time, and energy. Our diverse program is sure to satisfy anyone with an interest in the performing arts. We in MIT Kinaesthetics Lab think that we have made something wonderful. Join us, and share in the excitement that comes with creating dance.
Reserve tickets ($5 for students and seniors, $10 for adults) or contact an MIT Kinaesthetics Lab officer at mitdance@gmail.com
About MIT Kinaesthetics Lab MIT Kinaesthetics Lab members don't have a lot in common. Some of us are undergraduates or graduate students at MIT; others are alumni or spouses. We are a dance group, but we don't have similar dance backgrounds: our past and present members have trained in everything from ballet to belly dance, acting to contortion. What we do share is a common passiona passion for making, not just performing, dance.
