spouses&partners@mit is a non-profit organization with over 400 members. Its members are the wives, husbands, and significant others of MIT students and staff.They are men and women from all over the world, including the U.S, all with different levels of English fluency.

Although anyone connected to MIT can join the group, the typical member is a woman in her late twenties (about half of them with young children), but the group does attract a very diverse membership, and you will find variety in the age and gender of the members.

Membership is free, and by signing up, you will have an excellent opportunity to make new friends, improve your English and at the same time have a lot of fun.

How to get started:

• Sign up for our email list. You will receive email weekly announcements about our events and activities
• Make an appointment to meet with Jennifer Recklet, the Program Coordinator by calling 617-253-1614 or emailing reck@med.mit.edu. She can orient you to spouses&partners@mit, MIT, and the greater Boston community.
• Attend a Wednesday meeting. You will meet people who share your interests and concerns, and you can enjoy a different topic or activity each week. Free child care is provided.
• Join MIT FamilyNet – our online community and our Facebook group.
• Contact a spouses&partners@mit member who speaks your language.
• Join an interest group – these are groups organized by the members of spouses&partners@mit. Contact the group leader to ask how you can join the next meeting.
