Parent-Child Groups

MIT FamilyNet
spouses&partners@mit sponsors a number of member-led parent-child groups. You will find more information about these groups and activities on MIT FamilyNet - our social networking site for MIT families.
On MIT FamilyNet, you can...
- Search for other families who live near you, speak your language, share your background or special interests
- Find families who want to exchange childcare, share nannies, form play groups or start car pools
- Search for MIT affiliated babysitters
- Join interest groups (toddler group, grad moms, adoptive families, English study) or start a new group
- Participate in forums (Pregnancy, Parenting & Family Life; Buy, Sell, Reuse, Services offered/wanted; Newcomers; Stuff to Do) by reading and posting topics.
- Find out about interesting events and activities at MIT and in your groups.
All MIT affiliates and/or their spouses/partners can register to become members. If you don't have an MIT Athena account, you will need to use your spouse's MIT certificate to sign up. But once you are registered, you can use your username & password to log in from any computer.
If you have any questions or problems, you can click on the "contact us" link on the site or email us directly at mfn@mit.edu.

Infants: We are looking for a leader for this group. No experience necessary - just a willingness to meet new parents and children!
BabyNet Infants and Toddler Group: This is a joyful playgroup where MIT parents and children find a space to play, sing and read stories together. Is also a great way to meet other parents and for your children to play and interact socially. Children from infancy to toddlerhood are welcome. We bring the toys, imagination and open hearts for singing. Come along with your children and have fun with us. Contact Ana Cristina Cardoso at anachcardoso@gmail.com or 857-399-5668.
Want to start a new group? Contact Jennifer Recklet at reck@med.mit.edu or 617-253-1614. We can help you get started!
